You might share this quotation from Brigham Young: “You are well acquainted with God our Heavenly Father. ![]() During this premortal life our heavenly parents taught us the gospel and the plan of life. Also explain that this life as spirit children is called premortal life. Explain that our spirit bodies look like our physical bodies, with arms, legs, eyes, and so on, but are not flesh and blood. Testify to the children that before we were born on earth we all lived with Heavenly Father as spirit children. Why was this not the beginning of this person’s life? Show the picture of a newborn baby, and have the class guess who it is. Invite a child to give the opening prayer. They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as an expiation, through faith, by his blood, to prove his righteousness because of the forgiveness of sins previously committed,… ” These lines show clearly the effect of sin on man and the mercy of God through which God out of His volition decided to save man through the redemptive work of his Son. The Scripture in Romans 3: 23- 25 says: “all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God. ![]()
